Seven Days a Week from 11am - 9pm
Driven by his culinary expertise and love for fine foods, Mark Chew has mastered the divine art of cooking. As Owner of 1812 Tavern Mark embarks on his most recent business venture.
Mark's acquaintance to the restaurant business began at an early age and eventually led to his first partnership at the age of 25. As his admiration for cooking progressed, he took a second partnership at the Pasta Garden Restaurant in Kennett Square. Here he earned the reputation as the ''King of Mushroom Cuisine'' and in 1993 he won the National Mushroom Cook-off with his Grilled Portabella Au Poivre recipe.
Later in 1993, Mark purchased Courtney's Ristorante and a few years later it was voted one of the top three restaurants in Delaware. In 1997, Mark opened his second successful restaurant, Samatha's Cafe, which he owned and operated for many years. Mark's latest venture as head chef and owner of Bay Hundred began his prosperous career on the Eastern Shore. The restaurant was named the number one restaurant in Tilghman Island by Trip Advisor and Best Outdoor Dining by What's Up Eastern Shore magazine.
