    Continue onto MD-33/St. Michaels Rd, then turn right onto Carpenter St. Continue straight through the stop sign until the end of the street. We are located waterfront on the right side of the street.

    About Us

    Overlooking a beautiful view of the St. Michaels Harbor, the Log Canoe Inn sits peacefully by the waterfront under a canopy of trees. Located in the middle of town, and in the historic district, the inn is within a comfortable walking distance to everywhere. Offering six waterfront rooms & suites, each has been upgraded with luxury amenities and comforts, yet still maintaining the historic charm and ambience.

    The Log Canoe Inn is named in honor of the historic log canoe sailing vessels, built in the harbors of the Chesapeake Bay, and each room is named after a particularly special log canoe. Our property includes two historic buildings. The "main house" is the original residence, and comprises of two homes joined together, built in 1790 and 1810. The "sail shed" is a cottage style building that sits right beside the main house, and was built sometime before the 1950's.

    Being only a short walk from Carpenter Street Saloon, a true "local" bar, you may even run into some log canoe sailors, especially during the summer regatta season. Guests may choose to travel by boat or car, by docking at our private slips at our next door marina, Higgins Yacht Yard, or parking in our private off-street parking lot.
